about

An ode to a dissatisfied man driven to extremes by the ever-increasing prices of sugary snacks, the song is a high-energy, intense commentary on the dangerous power of the internet and how it can be weaponized by disaffected individuals.

The single follows the story of an average Joe who, aggravated by the government’s higher prices for sweet treats, subsequently becomes radicalized by an infamous online ‘manosphere’, and proceeds to go on a murderous rampage targeting healthy food corporations and political activists.

It’s an absurd, blackly comic narrative delivered with a raucous mix of punk and psychedelic sounds. The single, available for release on March 17th, is the latest offering from Self Help, the five-piece punk-psych band.
